Blueberry Bliss

Tonight I was in blueberry heaven, so I decided to write in blueberry blue!:) 

I got this fabulous new baking book in the French Quarter last weekend, and today I used it for the first time. I made Blueberry Muffins, and they were just delicious!!!

To go along with my mouthwatering muffins, I brewed up some yummy peppermint tea! So I got to use my lovely little tea cups and dessert plates--cheers to that!

For months now, I have been planning on cleaning out my overly-stuffed closet....but, of course, I continued to procrastinate! 2 nights ago I finally decided to accomplish the task---and OH MY GOSH it was a DISASTER!!!

A never ending pile of clothes filled my entire room. My friend came over to help me, and we started at 7p.m. and didn't finish until a little over 2:30a.m.!!! We were completely overwhelmed by the clothes, purses, clutches, shoes, and overnight bags that kept oozing out of my closet. I found lots of clothing and accessories that I once loved but now can't even bare the sight of!  I found lots of clothes that didn't  fit anymore (quite depressing)! And then I found clothes that I had been looking for all summer, and fell in love with them all over again (success)!!:)

We had a blast dressing up in the weirdest clothes and costumes in my closest!! It was a super fun night, but also super exhausting!

In the end, we got everything organized to perfection! And now I am simply obsessed with my brand new, squeaky clean, NEAT closest! Thanks so much Judy for all the help gurl!!!

Photo-shoots, hanging out, and baking--oh my!

On Monday my wonderful friend Collin called me up and asked me to come take pictures of him exercising for his online physical education course. Hanging out with my best friend and taking pictures= pure happiness! It turned out to be quite the little photo-shoot; of course I couldn't allow Collin not to take some "modeling" shots!

As you can see, we had a blast at our little photo-shoot! And to top of our fun little day, we went to the one and only....RAISING CANES!!!--yummy, yummy:)

Tomorrow, we take on the task of baking! I have this crafty new baking book, and I plan on making some sort of muffin tomorrow, and graciously Collin has agreed to help me----so....we will see how that goes! Wish us luck :)

Sunday In NOLA

This Sunday, I spent the day in NOLA with Katie Rose! We went to the Aquarium, which I haven't visited since I was about 6. Then we ate at the most charming little restaurant called Frank's (it was DELICIOUS! We both got the NOLA classic red beans and rice--miam miam!!).  We spent the rest of the day walking through the quarters and stopping into the most unique little shops. Katie Rose bought these awesome red shades from the French Market, and I got an awesome baking book (I can't wait to start making some of the yummy recipes)! We stopped by Katie Rose's grandparent's apartment in the Quarters--it was such an adorable little place, with the most amazing terrace! And to end the perfect day, we ate delicious beignets at Cafe Beignet. 

It was a fabulous Sunday, and a long-over do trip to the amazing city of New Orleans!
